His salvation experience took place in 1984 on a Sunday morning worship service in a friend’s church at Mokola, Ibadan. He encountered God’s servant, Pastor Femi Emmanuel in a small meeting organized for a selected few at the Function Room of premier Hotel, Ibadan in 1990, and has since been following him. He is privileged to become one of the few people around the set man of this commission when the vision of Livingspring Chapel was conceived and given birth to in 1993. He served in various capacities in the church as a worker and in various cities-Ibadan, Lagos, Enugu, Jos, Abuja as a Pastor.
It was from NYSC he entered into full time ministry as a pastor in Livingspring Chapel International and is now a senior Pastor.
He is resident in Abuja with his wife and family from where he oversees other branches in the region.
Pastor Victor Effiong Bassey hails from Ikot Idaha, Ikono local government area of Akwa Ibom State. He holds a B.Sc, M.sc, and has his Ph.D in view, all in Human Nutrition from the University of Ibadan. A member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria. He is currently the state Nutrition officer, Akwa Ibom State.
He is one of the old members of the church, His ministerial career in Livingspring Chapel commenced in the then counseling and Training Department in the year 1996.
A teacher of the Word by calling. He started Uyo lifting centre in January 23, 2000. He was ordained a Pastor with his wife December 8, 2001, and moved the church to its permanent property in June 2004. He was promoted and appointed Senior Pastor/ Regional Pastor in charge of South/South East Region, and a member of the National Executive Council of the church in March 11, 2010. He planted Calabar Assembly (Cross River state) in November, 2011.He is married to Mercy, and the marriage is blessed with three Boys.
He was born on February, 16th he was one of the committed members that birthed the Livingspring Chapel International which was formerly known as word preachers evangelism ministry under the leadership of pastor FEMI EMMANUEL in April 1993 before the inauguration of the church in December 1993
He is among the first set of CICOM student in 1997 and has diploma in ministry-a- 9month course.
He is first director of prison & hospital evangelism 1993-1998
He is the 1st zonal pastor for Aremo zone overseeing of 12 house churches within the zone between 1996-1998
He was one of the 1st ordained Pastor in July 2001
He co-founded and pastor livingspring chapel Aremo with twelve members between 1998-2004
He was transferred to livingspring chapel Yemetu as a resident pastor between 2004-2012
He currently pastors the Ologuneru Assembly of this church.
He was inaugurated as senior pastor in the livingspring chapel commission on March 31st 2013
He is married to MARY OLAYINKA ONI who is also a co-pastor and was blessed with two children, VICTOR and VICTORIA.
He joined the Choir Department where he rose to Assistant Choir Director in 1995. The Presiding Pastor appointed him to be the Director of Counseling Department in February 1996. He worked in many departments of the Church. He became a house Cell leader and rose to be a Zonal House Cell leader at Bodija Zone in 1996-1997. In 1997 he was appointed as Assistant Pastor to our then Bashorun Church. In late 1997 he was transferred to pastor our Oke Bola Church, that later became Oke Ado Church till 2005. He was transferred back to Sango Church In March 2005 and then later to Aremo Church later in 2005. On the 6th of June 2006, he was transferred to our Oshogbo church. He currently pastors Oshogbo Church and has been pastoring Dominion City Assembly with the Presiding Pastor since June 2010 till date. He is happily married and the marriage is blessed with four children.
He joined the Corporate Affairs Department of the Church in the 90’s. He was the 2nd Secretary of Crusade & Evangelism Department. He was part of the team that followed Presiding Pastor to LOUD IN POLY” in 1997 to start our Campus Fellowship in the Polytechnic of Ibadan. The Apete House Cell started in his sitting room. He was the Head of the Yoruba Church’s Intercessory Department between 2000-2001. He became the 2nd Pastor to the then Sango Church’s Resident Pastor in 2001. He was transferred to Abeokuta Church in August, 2003. In August 2005 he was transferred to Akure Church. He was transferred to Asero Church in September 2008. He was transferred back to Sango Church in January 2009. He was transferred to Monatan Assembly in March 2012. During his work in Monatan Church, he was sent for ministerial assignment in the London Church in 2012 briefly and returned to Monatan Assembly.
Upon his promotion as senior Pastor of the commission, He assumes the position of Regional Pastor South-West. He is happily married and the marriage is blessed with children.
